About Trailhead
Built with Intention. Rooted in the Sierra.
We are a boutique custom home builder serving the Lake Tahoe and Carson Valley region — where the land demands precision and the clients deserve nothing less.
A Different Kind of Builder
Jonathan Abbott founded Trailhead Construction around a lifelong connection to building and a belief that the process can be done better.
A Nevada licensed general contractor and California licensed attorney, Jonathan brings an unusual combination of hands-on construction experience, project management, and regulatory knowledge to his work. His background allows him to approach complex projects from both the practical and technical sides — anticipating problems, navigating difficult approvals, and keeping projects moving.
But Trailhead is ultimately rooted in something simpler: a love of building, the outdoors, and the places we call home. Jonathan lives in the Carson Valley with his three children and brings the same care and attention to each project that he would expect in his own home.
